I originally started up Etcetorize the blog to send people to Etcetorize the Etsy shop but I ended up having so much fun with the blog that it sort of took over everything.
I used to be soooo very careful about my web presence and didn't really participate in anything online. Now I have a blog, two online shops, I'm active and have been featured on Burdastyle, submit pattern reviews regularly on patternreview.com, and feel like I'm really a part of the blogging community.
I've always been a sewer and crafter but until I started to keep track of it all I had no idea just how much I do.
So, after an entire year of tutorials, inspiration photos, show and tells, features, and more, I'm going to take the day off and share the top ten posts over the past year. According to Blogger Stats, the top 10 posts are....
#1 most visited post
DIY Paper Jewellery
With a bit of Dimensional Mod Podge and scrapbooking paper you can make your own jewellery!
First I showed you how to make your spool knitter...
And then I showed you how to use it...
Mega Mod Podge
Thanks to everyone from Mod Podge Rocks, this Mod Podged chair suddenly flew up the popular posts list just this month!
It's a Sign
One of my personal favourite projects were these pretty chalkboard signs.
Summer Maxi Dress
I'm a little surprise this was so popular but I guess everyone was in the mood for some summery fashions.
This was one of the very first projects I posted!
Royal Wedding Hats
I think it's quite funny that this random post ended up in the top 10 but there it is~
Coffee Table Recycle
Once in awhile I get very industrious and tackle furniture projects.
Shabby Chic Bracelets
Another one of my favourite Mod Podge projects!
And I'm going to add one more of my favs...the project that started it all...
Garden Gazing Ball
Thanks for a fabulous year of crafting, sewing, and all round fun everyone! You can check out the other 40 tutorials here, the other 42 Show and Tells here, and don't forget the Inspiration Shots here . It's your positive comments, ideas, and questions that keep me creating. I appreciate all of you more than you'll ever know.
I don't do giveaways very often but I have a special surprise for all of you next week to celebrate the big one year mark. Make sure to come back and check it out!
Super huge thank you everyone!
Happy Birthday to the Blog! I've always loved your creativity and ideas since we discovered each other's sites maybe a year ago???
Can't wait to see what year 2 brings.
Wow! I just found your blog today. And on your anniversary too. Congratulations! Your blog is beautiful. I already have 2 projects I'm going to do right away- the sunglasses holder and the fringe scarf. So cool. I also joined and added my blog to your friends page. Thank you! I always love to see other bloggers from Canada and especially our neck of the woods (I'm from Alberta). Can't wait to see what you do next.
Congratulations!! I know what you mean...Blogging does take over, but in a such a positive way! I too started mine to promote my Etsy shop... I never realized there is so much more out there...and so many opportuntities...It has been a fun adventure!!
Happy Anniversary to you! I have loved reading your blog since I first stumbled upon it. I remember always looking forward to what you linked up to my party each week when it was up. Hope your blog continues to grow and you keep making the world a beautiful place one little project at a time!
Happy anniversary! You have accomplished quite alot in one year.
Happy anniversary Tamara! I'm so glad that I tumbled at your blog. I'm new follower... great, great place!
Congrats on your anniversary! This is such an awesome recap for a new follower like me! Well done! I just found your site through a blog party and would love for you to link your post up at my Savvy HomeMade blog party at
As with Erin, Im loving the one year recap as a new follower too. Cannot wait to have a proper nose around for some crafts to try out :)
Happy Anniversary! I just found your blog but am having fun going back to see past posts that you have done. Finding the stats tab on my blog was super exciting for me. Isn't it totally interesting to see your stats? It helped me know that even if I wasn't getting lots of comments that more people were actually viewing my posts than commenting on them. And, like you, I'm surpised by what some of the more popular posts are.
