I know I'm on a bit of a Chanel kick lately but these videos are so addictive.

Movie Monday - a Chanel Fitting

Seriously!  How does this man consistently come up with so many incredible designs every season?!?!?

Did you know that he designs 7-8 shows a year just for Chanel (plus all the accessories).  Then he also designs for other labels too!  Plus he comes up with the advertising concepts and often is the photographer.

On top of that he still manages to find time to do other little things like paint masterpieces, guest edit magazine articles, publish books, and create installation art pieces.  You can find a breakdown of some of his work HERE.

Whew, I'm exhausted just thinking about it all!

Movie Monday - Relaxing Ambient Noise (TNG)

You may need to be a bit of a Trekker to get this video but I think that it's beyond brilliant, which gives you a bit of insight into what makes me tick.

I seriously play this all day long in my earphones
 at work and it helps me stay cool, calm, and collected.

There are also videos of ambient sounds from other ships from the sci-fi universe as well as from 10-Forward and the crew cabins!  Perfect for sewing by...take me away TNG!

Movie Monday: Paper Boxes

I seem to be spending a lot of my free time scanning Pinterest and YouTube for DIY paper boxes, envelopes, tags, and such.  On my travels, I came across this great video:

Make sure to visit Sam at her YouTube channel or her blog for loads of great projects.  She's lovely to listen to, always gives measurements in Imperial and Metric, and seems to share my love for homemade boxes!

I can't get enough of this song right now!

I'm not sure if it's the skintight acid wash jeans, the suspenders, the dance moves, or the beat but there's something very 90's about it but not in a bad way.

I don't have any of the tools used in this video, but I still love the creativity and it gives me a whole new perspective on envelopes.

The music on this video will get a bit annoying, but just turn the volume down, because Annika Victoria gives some great instructions on how to make a circle skirt from scratch with no tracing and no closures.

Movie Monday - DIY Kimono Top

Go into any fashion store right now and you'll find a rack of kimono tops just like this one.

I'd use a machine to get a cleaner finish on the stitching but if you don't have a machine this is a fun way to dip your toe into the sewing pool.  You could also add fringe or lace to the edges to really personalize it.

Movie Monday - Simplicity Pattern for Smartness (Vintage)

Who knew Simplicity patterns can even pave the way to a bright complexion and silky hair?!?!?

                           

Actually, other than the parts with Johnny, it's not a bad video.  It's a great review for beginner sewers on how to read a pattern and get the perfect fit.  Funny how patterns haven't changed very much at all since 1948~

Movie Monday: Emma Stone Rocks!

I don't normally share trending videos on Monday's but I'm making an exception for the lovely Ms. Emma Stone....because this video is so awesome.

            

I've always liked Emma Stone but I have a newfound respect for her after watching this clip from The Tonight Show.  Britney Spears and the entire cast of Glee could take a lesson from her on the proper way to lipsync, she's that good~

If you've been following Etcetorize for awhile, then you already know that I'm a bit of a Chris Hadfield fan. He spend his entire life preparing for his time and space and he's making the most of the whole experience.

Movie Monday - Angus & Julia Stone

I cannot get enough of this version of this song.  I listen to it over and over and then get my guitar out and play it myself.  LOVE it!

              

Angus and Julia Stone are a brother/sister act from Australia.  I hadn't heard of them before this song but they have loads of beautiful, deep, dark songs out.
