Cookie Tin

I had a family get-together recently so I made some cookies and made another cookie tin!

These colours are a little out of my comfort zone but I wanted to try something different.

I ran out of spray paint half way through so tried to cover it with craft paint, but I would definitely recommend spray paint as the way to go for this project.  The craft paint got pretty streaky.  Luckily I knew most of it would be covered so I forged ahead.

The funnest part of this project is decorating the top with sparkly bits and bobs.

Scratch that...the funnest part is eating what's inside!  To make up for using the wrong kind of oats in my haystack cookies, I made them super duper extra stupendously chocolatey.  And wouldn't you know it, they were a hit~

For step by step instructions on how to make your own cookie tin you can see my previous post HERE.

  1. Very cute and colorful! I have some vintage tins that have lost most of their paint that I could use for this project.....

  2. I love these bright colours. You did make me laugh with your "oh yes, adding pretty things to the top is the best bit - oh wait, no, eating the goodies from inside is better!"
