This is probably on of the best purchases I have ever made. I love to relax here, under the trees, with a good book, sometimes taking a little nap, with my little kitties safely sitting below.
But I've had this little piece of luxury for a few years and it's gotten a little grubby over time.
When I got 4 metres of this pretty floral cotton from Wholeport I figured it was time to get down to business and finally make the prettiest cover I could.

I created the base first and then spent hours and hours putting the ruffles together and then sewing them on.
Luckily I had just enough fabric to make some ties instead of fiddling around with velcro.
And now I can relax in cute vintage style~
Even better...I can take it off and wash it whenever I want!
If you've checked out my new Instagram feed, you know that Katya likes it too!

I have a hammock too, it's a rope one and built for two. Next year I plan on doing some projects to make it a little more user friendly, what you've done is a great upgrade!
ReplyDeleteLooks cool and crisp and dreamy. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed!! I, too, have a hammock that I love. There is nothing better to relax on than a hammock. I'm pinning. I want to make this. Thanks a heap. Linda
