I love vintage patterns so much. I think sometimes people just look at them and toss them aside because they don't think that they're in style anymore. But I'm going to start a new series of posts where I'll show you some very cool vintage patterns and how you can translate them into something wearable for today.
Sometimes vintage patterns need very little tweaking, and sometimes you have to move a whole waistband or shorten a collar to make sure you don't look like you just stepped out of a time machine. It's not that hard, trust me, if I can do it, then you can too~
Today's patterns need very little tweaking. I have a thing for these cute little rompers.
I can't stop myself from picking up patterns for rompers whenever I see one, even though it's the easiest thing in the world to make.
I love all of the variations, from shorts, to pants, to a dress.
For some reason it reminds me of Three's Company, which even though I was rarely allowed to watch it growing up, was always one of my fav shows. (That's probably why I have an obsession with wicker furniture too~)
Anyway, how does this translate to today? After all, we don't really want people to tell us we look like Chrissy Snow when we go out, do we???
Here are four great examples (from Arden B):

How fun! I'm positive my mom made me the short romper on #6553 when I was in high school!
