Mandala Refashion

Most of you already know I like to make my own underwear.  The store bought stuff is just so over priced and is rarely comfortable.

So, this weekend I made another pair.  I used this cute girls top that I picked up at the Thrift Store ages ago for $1:

I love the colours, and the sparkles, and the rhinestones, and the funky mandala pattern!

I used this 1980's pattern from Kwik Sew:

Kwik Sew makes the best lingerie patterns.
I used View A.
I added this gorgeous lime green lingerie elastic from my stock on hand.

And I came up with this!

I think they're super cute.  They fit perfectly and are very comfy.  Anyone else out there making their own sweet nothings?  What's your favourite pattern company for underthings?  Leave a comment below~

Hahaha!!! I was just thinking about making undies! Bonus: My step daughter just went through her clothes. I have been brainstorming how to use the non-garage-sale worthy ones. Thanks for sharing!
BTW, beauties!

Very pretty AND repurposed! I'm in awe that you're making your own undies.

I have been wanting to make my own undies.... I guess you could say it is on my list.... a very long list... but it is on there...lol...
Your undies look fabulous.... so I guess i need to find a pattern and jump on the band wagon.

I used to sew quite a bit, ever since that class in jr high school. But I've fallen away, mostly due to lack of proximity to a sewing machine. Never thought of repurposing thrift store finds. Interesting.
